Ciudad e imaginarios urbanos. Percepciones de docentes y estudiantes de una facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo. Caso: Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Artes de la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería

Abstract

El presente artículo presenta los resultados más relevantes del Trabajo de Investigación en Urbanismo, cuyo asesor fue el Dr. Wiley Ludeña Urquizo. En esta investigación se ha considerado que la comprensión integral de la ciudad debe ir más allá del estudio de los espacios físico y concentrarse también en lo modo de vida y la construcciones simbólica que crean los ciudadanos. Los imaginarios urbanos ofrecen una forma distinta de estudiar la ciudad, relacionándola directamente a los conceptos de Cultura e Identidad urbana. El estudio se realizó con lo profesores y estudiantes de la Facultad de Arquitectura, Urbanismo y Arte de la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, y muestra la construcciones simbólica de do generaciones diferente de ciudadanos pero que tienen, y tendrán, una influencia directa en la ciudad de Lima. Esta investigación tiene dos grandes partes, primero las ensoñaciones y formas de evocar la ciudad, y segundo las formas de usar la ciudad de Lima. Por ello esta investigación aporta en el conocimiento obre lo que lo ciudadano sueñan y temen de su ciudad, complementa la comprensión de cierto fenómeno urbano , y determina decisiones más acertada respecto al accionar en la ciudad.

This article presents the main results of the Research in Urbanism, whose advisor was Dr. Wiley Ludeña Urquizo. For this research, it has been considerated that the comprehensive understanding of the city must go beyond the study of physical spaces and also focus on lifestyles and symbolic constructions that citizens create. Urban imaginaries offer a different way of tudying the city, relating it directly to the concepts of culture and urban identity. The study ·was conducted with teachers and students of the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Arts of the National University of Engineering, and shows the symbolic construction of two different generations of citizen who have, and will have, a direct influence in the city of Lima. The research has two part , first the reveries and ways to evoke the city, and second ways of using the city of Lima. Therefore, this research provides knowledge about what people dream and fear of their city, supplements the understanding of certain urban phenomena, and determines better decisions in relation toacting in the city.
