Lomas costeras: nuevos sistemas urbanos para la otra Lima

Abstract

En el siguiente artículo se busca sustentar, superando todo reduccionismo científico, la viabilidad de un nuevo sistema urbano para los barrios ubicados en ámbitos de lomas costeras limeñas. Antes de desarrollar la propuesta resulta pertinente hacer un breve balance de los paradigmas que han dirigido las estrategias de desarrollo del país y su correlato urbanístico al momento de enfrentar el problema de vivienda. Luego, mediante un análisis ecosistémico de la misma proble­mática, se evidenciará la estrechez del enfoque urbanístico establecido al relacionar problemáticas aparentemente divergentes, como el déficit de vivienda y la depredación de ecosistemas de lomas, como parte de una misma solución.

The purpose of the article is to sustain, by avoiding any sciencífic reduccianism, the viability of a new urban system located in Lima's coastal hills. Before the propasal is developed, it is relevant to make a brief review of the paradigms that have influenced the country's developmental strat­egies and its consequent urban praxis when facing the housing problem. Furthermore, through an ecosystem analysis of the same topic, it will be possible to put into evidence the limits of the actual urbanistic overview, which correlates different urban problems such as the housing deficit and the coast hills deforesration to discover; at the end, that the solution relies within them.
