Abstract

El desarrollo de las artes escénicas a nivel nacional ha tenido un auge en relación a los partícipes (se ha incrementado el número de colectivos y artistas independientes en todo el país). Sin embargo, este crecimiento no ha sido proporcional respecto a la dotación de una adecuada infraestructura, tanto para la formación profesional, como para la difusión de las artes escénicas. Actualmente la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) es la única universidad que brinda esta carrera completa, sin embargo, la deficiente infraestructura con la que cuenta impide una formación competitiva de los artistas nacionales, y una difusión masiva e inclusiva de esta profesión Es en este contexto que se plantea este proyecto en respuesta a una necesidad, por parte de la PUCP para acondicionar nuevas instalaciones y, sobre todo, como respuesta a la demanda por parte de nuestra sociedad, de un equipamiento educativo de calidad, con todos los requerimientos tecnológicos necesarios para lograr una formación de alto nivel, inclusiva y multidisciplinaria en los artistas. El proyecto está conformado por aulas y talleres que imparten las especialidades de Teatro, Danza, Música y Dirección en artes escénicas. Además, como áreas de soporte contamos con un Centro de Información, Salas de uso múltiple, un Teatro de Representaciones, Talleres de representación experimental y un Estudio de grabación. Cada ambiente ha sido diseñado teniendo en cuenta la calidad espacial, el acondicionamiento tecnológico y las consideraciones con el entorno, que se deben tener al momento de proyectar. Se busca, finalmente que desde la arquitectura se pueda contribuir a la revaloración de las artes escénicas y su enseñanza, como una profesión igual de importante y trascendente como las demás.

The development of the national level performing arts has had a boom at the participant level (the number of independent collectives and artists has increased throughout the country). However, this growth has not been proportional to the provision of an adequate infrastructure, both for professional training and for the dissemination of the performing arts. Currently the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) is the only university that offers this complete career, however, the deficient infrastructure that prevents the competitive training of national artists, and a massive and inclusive dissemination of this profession. It is in this context that this project is proposed in response to a need on the part of the PUCP to prepare new facilities and, above all, as a response to the demand, by our society, for quality educational equipment, with all the technological requirements necessary to achieve high-level, inclusive and multidisciplinary training for artists. The project is made up of classrooms and workshops that teach the specialties of Theater, Dance, Music and Direction in performing arts. In addition, as support areas we have an Information Center, Multiple Use Rooms, a Theater of Representations, Experimental Representation Workshops and a Recording Studio. Each environment has been designed taking into account the spatial quality, the technological conditioning and considerations with the environment, which must be taken when projecting. It is sought, finally that from the architecture it is possible to be contributed to the revaluation of the scenic arts and their education, like a profession as important and transcendent as the others.
