| Resumen : | We summarized the status of an ongoing project which aims to implement an astronomical observatory for the Faculty of Science of the National University of Engineering (FC-UNI). This observatory (OA-UNI) will be installed at the peruvian central Andes using the facilities of the Instituto Geofisico del Peru at Huancayo. We shown examples of science projects that could be initiated along with the future perspectives for its upgrade. We also comment the impact of the OA-UNI to open new possibilities to develop pre-professionals training in astronomy for last-year students at FC-UNI. |
