Abstract

El Museo de la Identidad y Tradición de Barranco se ubicará en el acantilado, a la espalda de La Ermita y del Parque Villarreal, frente al mar. Su ubicación responde a que el edificio se convierta en un espacio articulador entre el distrito y el mar. Para eso se plantea un edificio permeable hacia el mar, es decir que desde diferentes espacios se tenga al mar como fondo del paisaje. El museo será un nuevo espacio de difusión cultural al servicio de su comunidad y de toda Lima, en él se desarrollarán diversas exposiciones y actividades culturales. Con esto el museo se integrará al circuito turístico de Barranco, fortaleciendo con ello su imagen como distrito cultural. El museo se organiza espacialmente como un recorrido que inicia a la altura del Parque Villarreal, luego se va descendiendo a la playa y a la vez se va accediendo a las salas de exposición. Al salir del edificio el recorrido prosigue a través de una sucesión de escaleras y rampas hasta llegar a la playa. Así también, el museo busca relacionarse con su contexto urbano haciendo que el espacio público ingrese al edificio desde el Parque Villarreal y este espacio a su vez se conecte con el mar a través del edificio.
