This work has as main objective to show that public spending on science , technology and innovation had influence on economic growth of Peru during the period 1998-2013, was chosen for this growth models of neoclassical theoretical basis (Solow), endogenist (Romer, Lucas and others) and Schumpeter who, with their differences, postulate that investment in knowledge, technology and innovation generate changes in production with consequent permanent increase in gross domestic product and therefore the sustained development of Peru. Statistical and econometric methods are used for which the first thing that has been done is a correlation analysis or association, to measure the effect or influence between the independent variable (government spending) and the dependent variable (sustained development of Peru), second causal analysis to verify the effect because of the variables under study and in third place a regresional analysis to determine the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Product of the above has been found that the investment or public spending on science, technology and innovation, had an effect on indicators of sustainable development, in the case of Peru in the period 1998-2013, said direct and positive effect with gross domestic product and per capita income population and reverse the reduction of poverty levels, thereby accepting the main hypothesis.
