Abstract

Se dice que el centro histórico de Lima, es y ha sido un crisol de culturas, entonces es necesario proyectar la ciudad, en función de los que lo habitan, con la intención de devolverle de nuevo su rol de ciudad habitada. La investigación nace, ante una dramática realidad que muestra la degradación del centro histórico de Lima, que va empeorando en el tiempo, sobre todo en la zona del conglomerado comercial de mesa redonda y alrededores, donde la actividad comercial, ha mostrado un crecimiento espontáneo y desmesurado, afectando principalmente, la naturaleza residencial del lugar. Asimismo, la investigación se fundamenta en datos tomados del centro histórico de la ciudad de Lima, bajo el procedimiento de la observación y el comportamiento del ser y el territorio dentro de este, para hallar las determinantes y componentes del diseño, el proyecto está compuesto por un conjunto de edificios de carácter multifuncional o multitemática que tiene la facilidad de prestar múltiples servicios a la comunidad y sus visitantes, produciéndose un gran efecto detonador de renovación urbana repotenciando las capacidades del sector y elevando en alto nivel la calidad de vida y proyectando una mejor expectativa en la infraestructura urbana, social y cultural.
