Determinación del potencial de la cuenca baja del río Chancay – Huaral para la producción ecológico de frutales

Abstract

Los "alimentos ecológicos" se caracterizan por ser producidos bajo un conjunto de técnicas que buscan generar alimentos libres de productos sintéticos que dañen la salud humana o al ecosistema donde se producen, haciendo uso de procedimientos e insumes provenientes de la naturaleza y que permitan una armoniosa relación con el ecosistema; garantizando así una producción permanente en el tiempo; la demanda de los frutales ecológicos representa el 0.2% del mercado alimentario mundial con un crecimiento constante de un 20% anual. En el Perú, el cultivo de frutales constituye un importante rubro dentro de la producción agrícola nacional, siendo tradicionalmente el valle del río Chancay-Huaral uno de los principales valles frutícolas del país. El presente estudio se elaboró con el fin de identificar si existen las condiciones necesarias en ia cuenca baja del río Chancay Huaral para la producción ecológica de frutales, evaluando cada uno de los frutales que actualmente se producen en la zona a fin de determinar cuales cumplen con todas las condiciones preestablecidas, las cuales fueron: viabilidad técnica: se analizó la rusticidad del cultivo y la calidad de agua y suelo de la zona; viabilidad social: aceptación de los agricultores, y viabilidad económica: se analizaron la forma de comercialización del producto, precios y costos de los mismos. Luego del análisis respectivo se determinó que actualmente en la zona de estudio se presentan las condiciones físico-biológicas, socio-económicas y tecnológicas adecuadas para la producción en pequeña escala de lúcuma y maracuyá orgánicas abarcando un área de 94 ha. A mediano plazo podrían incorporarse cítricos, manzanas y guanábana en la medida que se mejoren los métodos de control cultural actualmente en estudio y se difundan adecuada y ampliamente los resultados de los mismos con lo que se incrementaría a 3,094 ha.

Those "ecological foods" they are characterized to be produced under a group of techniques that they look for to generate foods free of synthetic products that damage the human health or to the ecosystem where they take place, making use of procedures and inputs coming from the nature and that they allow a harmonious relationship with the ecosystem; guaranteeing this way a permanent production in the time; the ecological demand of the fruit-bearing ones represents 0.2% of the world alimentary market yearly with a constant growth of 20%.

In the Peru, the cultivation of fruit constitutes an important item inside the national agricultural production, being traditionally the valley of the river Chancay Huaral one of the main place of the country.

The present study was elaborated with the purpose of identifying if the necessary conditions exist in the low basin of the river Chancay Huaral for the ecological production of fruit-bearing, evaluating each one of the fruit that at the moment take place in the area in order to determine which fulfill all the preset conditions, which were: technical viability: it was analyzed the wildness of the cultivation and the quality of water and floor of the area; social viability: the farmers' acceptance, and economic viability: the form of commercialization of the product, prices and costs of the same ones were analyzed.

After the respective analysis it was determined that at the moment in the study area the conditions physique are presented - biological, socioeconomic and technological appropriate for the production in small lúcuma scale and organic maracuyá embracing an area of 94 has. To medium term they could incorporate citric, apples and guanábana in the measure that you/they improve the methods of cultural control at the moment in study and spread appropriate and thoroughly the results of the same ones with what would be increased at 3,094 ha.
