Estación Intermodal Monserrate

Abstract

El segundo principal problema de la ciudad de Lima es referido a la movilidad urbana: “La congestión vehicular”, precedida por la delincuencia. Sin embargo, son los planes urbanos como el PLAN LIMA 2035, Rio Verde, etc. En donde se están planteando las soluciones, con una visión de movilidad inteligente; siendo una de ellas, la de contar con estaciones intermodales. Dentro de estos planes urbanos se encuentra la zona del barrio de Monserrate juntamente con la rivera del río Rímac actualmente en un evidente estado de deterioro y abandono. Sin embargo, poseen un elevado potencial recreacional, y de desarrollo del transporte, por la cercanía al río Rímac y la existencia de la yuxtaposición de vías de distintos sistemas de transporte, convirtiendo a la zona en un nudo intermodal. Asimismo, el emplazamiento entre dos principales ejes de la ciudad; el eje natural del río Rímac y un eje urbano de la avenida Alfonso Ugarte. Es así que la propuesta del proyecto estación intermodal se enmarca dentro de un planteamiento urbanístico, buscando la mejora del servicio del transporte juntamente con la recuperación del barrio de Monserrate y de la rivera del río Rímac, integrándolos a la ciudad en especial al Centro Histórico para el disfrute de los ciudadanos y que, en consecuencia, mejore la calidad de vida de la población.

Within these urban plans is the area of the Monserrate neighborhood along with the Rímac river bank currently in an evident state of deterioration and abandonment. However, they have a high recreational and transport development potential, due to the proximity to the Rimac River and the existence of juxtaposition of roads of different transport systems, making the area an intermodal node. Also, the location between two main axes of the city; the natural axis of the Rímac river and an urban axis of Alfonso Ugarte avenue. Thus, the proposal of the intermodal station project is framed within an urban planning approach, seeking the improvement of the transport service together with the recovery of the Monserrate neighborhood and the Rímac river bank, integrating them to the city especially to the Historic Center for the enjoyment of citizens and, consequently, improve the quality of life of the population.
