Criterios para el monitoreo atmosférico de la calidad del aire

Abstract

El Monitoreo de la Calidad del Aire, es una de las herramientas claves para el control de la contaminación atmosférica. Los datos que se necesitan deben ser confiables, y esto se logra siguiendo los procedimientos normalizados. El presente informe de suficiencia profesional describe los criterios básicos y fundamentales que todo profesional químico o ambiental, debe tener en consideración para ejecutar debidamente los muestreos de contaminantes atmosféricos. Entre estos criterios tenemos los métodos de muestreo, el aseguramiento de calidad de las mediciones y que los laboratorios involucrados deben procurar mantener y cumplir. I lentos considerado conveniente incluir un capitulo acerca de la meteorología y los diversos aspectos, conceptos, fenómenos; debido a la inherente relación que existe entre la contaminación y su dispersión en la atmósfera. Además, se presenta como ejemplo práctico, los resultados de un monitoreo de las partículas PM10 realizado a una empresa del sector industrial por considerarlo un factor de riesgo en la salud. La experiencia del graduando en este campo, nos presenta una forma de interpretación de estos resultados. En la actualidad en nuestro país aún no existe un laboratorio que cumpla con todos los requisitos de calidad de datos, que así lo amerita. Esperamos contribuir con la difusión de temas ambientales en la Universidad porque creemos está íntimamente vinculado con la química.

The Monitoring of the Quality of the Air, is one of the key tools for the control of the atmospheric contamination. The data that are needed should be reliable, and this is achieved following the normalized procedures. The formless present of professional sufficiency describes the basic and fundamental approaches that all Chemical or environmental professional, he should have in consideration to execute the samplings of atmospheric pollutants properly. Among these approaches \ve have the sampling methods, the insurance of quality of the measurements and that the involved laboratories should try to maintain and to complete. We have considered convenient to inelude an I surrender about the meteorology and the diverse aspeets, concepts, phenomena; due to the inherent relationship that exists between the contamination and their dispersión in the atmosphere. lt is also presented as example I practice, the results of a monitoring of the particles PM10 carried out to a company of the industrial sector to consider it a factor of risk in the health. The experience of the graduating in this field, it presents us a form of interpretation of these results. At the present time in our country not yet a laboratory that fulfills all the requirements of quality of data exists. We hope to contribute with the diffusion of environmental topics in the University for that we believe this intimately related with the chemistry.
