Abstract

El proyecto “Edificio de Usos mixtos en el Centro Histórico de Lima: Comercio, Hotel y Oficinas” es una propuesta arquitectónica que involucra aspectos urbanos del sitio, con el propósito de relacionarse de una manera pertinente con la ciudad y revitalizar la zona del Centro Histórico. Se concibe como una prolongación del Parque Universitario y a su vez un nexo con las calles y los espacios públicos a su alrededor, con la intención de convertirse en un filtro de flujos peatonales, donde el hecho de visitar el edificio se transforme en un pretexto para recorrer la ciudad. También aporta áreas libres en diversas alturas para lograr una relación visual con el contexto, desde diferentes perspectivas. Además, se vale del entorno para generar su composición arquitectónica, con un claro gesto de reinterpretar la arquitectura del lugar.

The "Building Mixed Uses in the Historic Center of Lima: Commerce, Hotel and Offices" is an architectural proposal that involves urban aspects of the site, with the purpose of relating in a relevant way with the city and revitalizing the area of the Historic Center. It is conceived as an extension of the University Park and in turn a nexus with the streets and public spaces around it, with the intention of becoming a filter of pedestrian flows, where the fact of visiting the building becomes a pretext to travel the city. It also provides free areas at different heights to achieve a visual relationship with the context, from different perspectives. It also uses the environment to generate its architectural composition, with a clear gesture of reinterpreting the architecture of the place.
