La dimensión arquitectónica del ritual en las iglesias de Lima del siglo XX. Estudio de casos

Abstract

Este artículo presenta los principales logros de la tesis de maestría, del mismo título, y responde a la pregunta: ¿Cómo inciden las estructuras espaciales, funcionales y perceptuales de las iglesias de Lima del siglo XX, en los mensajes autorreferenciales referido tanto a la jerarquía entre los participantes como a la exclusividad de desplazamientos de estos en el ritual de la Mísa? Se presenta un ejercicio metodológico para facilitar la comprensión espacial del ritual de la Misa en las iglesias católicas. Cualificar, cuantificar, evaluar, e interpretar las dimensiones operativas espaciales, funcionales y perceptuales de las iglesia de Lima del siglo XX han sido los objetivos de esta investigación; sin embargo la intencionalidad más audaz, consistió en proponer definiciones operacionales y mediciones cuantitativas de los aspectos perceptuales de la arquitectura ritual.

This article pre ents the main achievements of the master's thesis of the same title (1), and answers the question: How do they affect the spatial, functional and perceptual structurcs in the Lima churches of the 20th century, in the self-referential messages relating both to the hierarchy among the participants as to the exclusivity of their movements in the ritual of the Mass? This article also presents a methodological exercise to make easier the spatial comprehension of the ritual of the Mass in Catholic churches. Qualify, quantify, evaluate, and interpret spatial, functional and perceptual operative dimension of Lima churches of the 20th century have been the objectives of this research, but the boldest intent, was to propase operational definitions and quantitative measurements of the perceptual aspects.
