The housing Project “Kawsay Wasi” (home) is located in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho. The area on which the project has been developed is of 2,45om2. This lot has four fronts. The main one is on Lurigancho Avenue, the back one on A Street, the left one on Las Lomas Avenue, and the right one on a pedestrian passage. The residential complex is developed by trying to use very few land, but without losing the high density, permitting to concentrate the building coefficient in three blocks: a 12, 10 and 5 floor block. Moreover, it is given private space in the interests of collective social enjoyment in order to contribute to the creation of a necessary public space for the development and strengthening of the identity that the settler of this district demands. Thus, this lot is linked with its environment through a public space adjacent to Lurigancho Avenue and to a central space among the buildings which is permeable for all its fronts, so obtaining a physical and visual communication with the whole place. It also has two basements which facilitates a parking lot per apartment. Finally, a square, which contains a pergola and trees, is formed between Lurigancho Avenue and the buildings. This pergola and trees make a transition space between the project and the city, reaching integration with the neighborhood.
