Metodología para la gestión de pasivos ambientales mineros

Abstract

El Ministerio de Energía y Minas a través de la Dirección General de Minería elabora el inventario de Pasivos Ambientales Mineros e identifica a los responsables de su generación. Los Pasivos Ambientales Mineros consisten en labores mineras, residuos mineros, infraestructura, etc. Se encuentran distribuidos en diferentes locaciones del territorio nacional y pueden tener un impacto negativo severo al ambiente y en consecuencia afecte la seguridad y salud humana. Para una buena gestión de los PAM, han sido agrupados según las cuencas hidrográficas donde se ubican y se han establecido criterios para la evaluación de los riesgos que representan y establecer la priorización para su remediación.

The Ministry of Energy and Mines through the Mining Department has prepared the inventory of Mining Environmental Liabilities and identifies those responsible for their generation. The Mining Environmental liabilities consist of closed mine operations, tailing dams, mining wastes, and infrastructure, distributed in different locations of the country and can have a severe negative impact affecting human health, safety and environment. For good management of MEL have been grouped by watersheds where they are located and we have estabilished criteria for assessing the risks posed and establish priorities for remediation.
