The current research study entitled: "Relationship between behavior-based safety management and occupational accidents in a mining company", has as its general objective to determine the relationship that exists between behavior-based safety management and the occurrence of occupational accidents in a mining company, it is hypothesized that the relationship between behavior-based safety management has a significant influence on reducing the occurrence of occupational accidents in a mining company. The methodology used in the study was approach (quantitative, with a quasi-experimental design, with a descriptive, explanatory and correlational level of research, as instruments structured surveys were carried out on the workers of the mining unit with a population of 180 workers and a sample of 124 workers, for the analysis of the information it was carried out with the SPSS Statistics software, which allowed to evaluate the relationship between the SBC and the occurrence of work accidents It is mainly concluded that, if there is a statistically significant incidence between behaviorbased safety management and the occurrence of occupational accidents, since the application of Behavior-Based Safety helps reduce the frequency of incidents in the work environment where it is applied. The results determined that there is a Rho of -0.181, giving an inverse correlation, stating that SBC significantly affects the occurrence of work accidents, with a confidence level of 95%.
